Bio:

Mingyi Zhou is a doctoral student at Monash University. His research project is ‘Improving the reliability of mobile AI models’, which is under the supervision of Prof John Grundy, Dr Li Li, Dr Chunyang Chen, Dr Xiao Chen.

This project aims to use automated methods to evaluate the vulnerability of mobile AI models, analyze their robustness, and develop a responsible mobile AI framework.

Before he joined Monash University, he was a master’s student and research assistant in the AVC2 lab (supervised by A/Prof Yipeng Liu and Prof Ce Zhu) at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He also has extensive industry experience: one year in MEGVII Research, supervised by A/Prof Shuaicheng Liu, and one year in Philips Research, supervised by Dr Sayuan Liang and Dr Jiayin Zhou. His broader research interests include responsible AI, software engineering for AI, and privacy-preserving AI.
